I have worked in the Game Industry as a writer and narrative designer for a number of years. Working within both smaller teams where I have been given the reins to create something (almost) individually as well as larger teams working closely with designers, artists, programmers - I have seen what it takes to bring a story to life, and not only make it an immersive and interesting story, but also entertaining and engaging for the player.

It was not until I had the opportunity to work with Tuo Museo that I considered the prospects of having my words turned into a playable experience. I have always been a keen short story writer, but when offered the chance to have a story animated into a game, I began to broaden my scope of writing and consider new audiences and directions.

Having been a gamer for most of my life, from the first Amstad computer that my brother and I shared, to the SNES and latest generation of consoles, I have enjoyed throwing myself and being sucked into the adventures and life of the characters on screen. Since working on these projects, my interest in games development has only grown and by building my knowledge and confidence in programs such as:

Unity

Twine

Source-tree

XML documents

Sheets

Excel

Amongst others,

I understand more of the stages of developing and creating a game from initial concept ideas and art through to the final quality testing and release. I hope to further my opportunities in creating an immersive escape for both myself and potential players.
